Report: Officer Burga of the Central Oklahoma Grammar Task Force spotted the infraction while patrolling State Highway 152 – a long, flat road connecting Union City to Oklahoma City. Officer notes a duplicate sign faced the other direction, thus exposing both east-bound and west-bound traffic to the crime.

Perhaps Rodeo Flooring is simply being opened by the owner’s Grandmother hence the Gran Opening. Or maybe it’s some form of Senior pornography. (Further evidence: Arrow Pawn maybe phonetic translation of Arrow Porn) Eitherway, I don’t believe we should rush to judge as there are innocent explanations.
Perhaps they were just being clever, as Oklahomans so often are. You know “Gran”, as in “Granite”…it’s a grand day for a Gran Opening at the granite store!

MOVING ALL THE WAY TO OKLAHOMA FROM CALIFORNIA, WE (THE OWNERS OF RODEO FLOORING), FELT YOU (OKLAHOMA RESIDENTS) WOULD FEEL UPMOST COMFORTABLE WITH THE SLANG TERM. SINCE YOU SO OFTEN REFER TO “TORNADOS” AS “NADERS” AND “POTATOE SALAD” AS “TATER SALAD”. I CAN THINK OF A MILE LONG LIST OF SLANG USED HERE IN OKLAHOMA. I THINK THAT YOUR GRAMMAR COP SHOULD HAVE TOOK THAT LAST PIT STOP FOR DONUTS, INSTEAD OF HARRASSING REAL BUSINESS OWNERS.
Being a grandmother I wouldn’t want writer Jody near my children or grandchildren as she fits the profile of a filthy mind. Being a very satisfied customer of Rodeo Flooring, not only do I have beautiful counter-tops but also beautiful tile to match at the best price after shopping many local stores. I gather most of you don’t have a life, and doubt very much if you are business owners and successful as this young couple owning Rodeo Flooring. I wish I would have been such a success at a very young age.
There is a “Rodeo Drive” in Beverly Hills California with only the highest quality stores in Los Angeles California.

If the intention really was to truncate Grand to Gran to identify with State slang, then surely an apostrophe should have been placed after the n in Gran to signify a word shortening.
Patty Farner: mother of the owner’s wife. That comment doesn’t count. If she shopped elsewhare before considering her daughter’s business then she is a terrible mother.
Obviously this sign was removed within days after the “Grand Opening”. We looked towards local shops to make our banner display. Unfortunately, our business was not the only victim of the misspelled words. We currently have been in business for 3 years now, had over 355 “satisfied customers”. Compared to some of the fraud, dishonesty, health code violations other companies have experienced, this is our only flaw. Shameful that anyone would focus on something as petty as this.
