Every year, millions of dollars in assets remain unclaimed because the rightful owner could not be located – usually because they moved to a new address or died while doing drugs at the Viper Room. Unable to distribute these funds, but required by law to hold on to them, companies simply keep cash and stock sitting in accounts in the event their owner ever comes calling. While searching an asset-tracing database for some long-lost cash of my own, I wondered who else might have a little missing money somewhere. The answer? Apparently everyone. The winner? Screen legend and anti-Semite Marlon Brando who has an unclaimed check for $48,007.94 with his name on it. Someone tell Christian.

Firemans Fund is an insurance company that specializes in homes valued higher than $750,000, so it makes sense that they would show up frequently. Chubb also writes a lot of high value homes.
Nice work. And I suppose not listing addresses is the proper thing to do, but in digging around the unclaimed property site, I think it’s pretty obvious these are FORMER homes (which would explain why they can’t find Keanu to get that power bill deposit back to him, I suppose).

It’s not like these people are hard to find! Why didn’t these companies simply call the actors agents? Nobody wants to make an effort these days! What’s happening to us? We’re becoming very lazy.
How do I look up to find unclaimed money
It bothers me that these people have all this unclaimed cash lying around because they are so wealthy they don’t need it, while even just $1,000 would make an enormous difference in so many peoples’ lives…especially mine!
OK, I know I’m not much for remembering anyone from Hollywood unless they were constantly on the cover of some TV magazine (there are tons of these in Germany where I live) and since I doubt he’s got big boobs, I’m sure he never made it on any covers so can you tell me who Harry Shearer is and how I can get his email address? Harry Shearer played “Derek Smalls” in “This is Spinal Tap”. There also used to be a very funny cartoon show called “The Simpsons”, for which he was one of the key writers and voices.
