Grammar Cop: First Sign Of A Ron Paul Presidency

swafford_smoking.jpg

Defendant: An Unnamed High School.

Count 1: Negligent sentence structure.

Count 2: Commission of grammatical malfeasance within 1,000 yards of an educational institution.

Report: Officer Swafford was dropping her daughter off when the crime was noted, apprehended and booked. It should be noted that the school's strict "no alcohol ban" and "code of conduct forbidden" policies are also extremely popular. The school enjoys near-perfect attendance.

Fine: $208 and a carton of American Spirit - the cigarette that insinuates that it's healthy because it's "additive free" and made by Indians.

Ouch. My brain is all hurty from trying to process that sign.

In all fairness, the school is called "Marlboro High".

Actually, it is a magnet school in San Antonio Texas called Business Careers High School...

If I read that sign correctly, you are not allowed not to smoke. You have to be a smoker if you are anywhere on the school grounds.

There's a poisonous dwarf at the center of the Illuminati Trilogy who makes tiny changes to public signs to render them subtly incomprehensible in order to raise the general irritation level of the populace.
I'm just saying ...
