Complaint: Misdemeanor spelling of "leaf" by a psychic, who should presumably have known she was making a mistake; painting error on plywood; hanging error so as to expose it to pedestrians.
Defendant: Zena, a psychic located between the Mondrian Hotel and a Starbucks on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles.
Report: Officer was in pursuit of a caffeinated beverage that would be more delicious than the coffee-patty the hotel room mini-bar offered. Officer was in the process of walking briskly by the "psychic" establishment - as he does for all psychics, tattoo parlors and adult stores - when he noticed the transgression. He returned to quietly document the offense while hoping not to encounter Zena for fear of being cursed.
Fine: $100 and a séance with Don Knotts, or a dead person.

Is that an accent over the "u" in "Menu?"

Hey, that's actually a double misdemeanor!
The original incorrect spelling (you can see it under the F) is 'LEAVE', which has then been corrected (incorrectly) by changing the V to an F (but not whiting out the E).
